BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Interested in volunteering for Tri Hards? There are several ways to get involves:

‘Post-and-Host’ Your Own One-Off Event

You can lead a one-off walk, jeff, run or road cycling event in 3 simple steps:

  1. Read and do al you can to follow what is set out in our consolidated risk assessment

  2. Open your event to Tri Hards members by posting it on our Facebook Events page – keep the description clear including date, time, location, pace and distance information plus a reminder about ICE tags

  3. Complete a simple ‘on the day’ online form using your smartphone – for access please email volunteers@tri-hards.co.uk and we will send you a link to use

Become a Regular Event Leader

If you’d like to regularly host events on behalf of our members, you’ll need to register as a leader – please email volunteers@tri-hards.co.uk and we’ll send you a link.

There’s no set criteria for how many events you need to lead – as a guide we suggest at least 1 per month (but you’re welcome to do many more)!

We have a team of over 40 event leaders who are always welcoming of new volunteers. You’ll have the opportunity to gain recognised training and qualifications in specialist events and first aid, funded by Tri Hards!

Join our Committee

Our committee have responsibility for day-to-day operations and management of Tri Hards, including:

  • Membership, joiners and leavers

  • Volunteer leader coordination and event planning

  • Financial management and accounting

  • Website, social media and branding

  • Communications

  • Health and safety, insurance and risk management

  • Partnerships and affiliations

 

You’ll be part of a friendly and active team of over 12 people who ensure the fun and safe running of Tri Hards. If you’re interested in joining please email info@tri-hards.co.uk.

Become a Director

Directors hold legal responsibility for running Tri Hards in accordance with the law and our founding principles as a Community Interest Company. We currently have a team of 4 people with a variety of skills and experience. We’re always interested to hear from others who can bring new ideas and specialisms to the team!
