Events

Whether you’re looking for running, cycling, walking, swimming or a social with friends - there’s something for everyone!  

We aim to create an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment for all our members - please check our terms and conditions for more information.

No one is ever left behind on our events.

Across the year we run a wide range of activities which include:

Walking – From our fairly gentle ‘walk talk and cake’ sessions to our ‘Tri-walkers’ who often head off on 6 mile country walks, to our winter mile builders (where the distance increases each month up to around 18 miles) via the fast paced WalkFit sessions plus occasional trips further afield.

 

Jeffing – A mixture of running and walking (done in varying time intervals). This gives a bit more intensity than walking whilst allowing for recovery time between the run segments.

 

Running – Mostly 5-10k in distance covering variable paces sometimes on the footpaths and pavements, sometimes on the common.

​

Cycling – From helping members build their confidence on their bikes right through to rides of 50 miles or more! We also offer occasional mountain biking!

 

Swimming – From regular sea swims and dips to help members build confidence in the water to trips off to swim in some more adventurous places as well as local swim and sauna sessions.

 

We also get involved in other local activities and have recently tried spinning, studio classes, canoeing, bowling, cricket and padel tennis to name a few as well as plenty of opportunities to socialise, meet people and have fun.
